DESIGN
We utilise Autodesk’s Fusion 360 as a cloud based 3D modelling software. This allows us to create complex 3D models and sheet metal parts.
These parts can then be profile cut in-house and then folding on our CNC press brake.
FABRICATION
Employing skilled tradesman, Focal can fabricate the most challenging projects that other businesses shy away from.
Leveraging our design software, we can make light work of difficult to make products whether these be from sheet metal, plate or box section.
We use a number of different joining techniques including MIG welding, TIG welding, silver soldering, riveting and fasteners and will use the option that is fit for purpose.
CNC PROFILE CUTTING
Focal has invested in a Swiftcut CNC plasma table.
Our bed is 1500mm wide by 3000mm long meaning that we can cut oversized sheets and be more efficient with material and reducing the amount of joins needed on long runs.
This unit can cut from 0.5mm thick metal up to 16mm thick plate.
CNC FOLDING/BENDING
Another piece of machinery in our arsenal is the Durma 5 axis CNC press brake.
This has a 3050mm long bending capability and also enables us to fold up to 16mm thick material with 175 tons of downforce.
The touch screen controller means that we can program complex components and very repeatable results.
POLISHING/SPECIALITY METAL FINISHING
Focal prides ourselves on our ability to produce unique finishes.
Whether is be a brush polished stainless bench top, a mirror polished part or patinated brass/copper, we are able to produce the right finish for the right application and can provide samples where necessary before moving forward.
INSTALLATION
We are always able to install the products that we make in the workshop and have staff with the skill set required.
Ensuring that care is taken to not damage builds in the process and working in with other contractors to get projects over the line.
