Custom Metal Fabrication in Queenstown
FOCAL fabricates architectural and structural metalwork at our workshop in Frankton, Queenstown: staircases, balustrades, cladding, brass feature work, screens and welded assemblies for high-end homes and commercial builds. We work to your drawings or produce them ourselves, and every piece is modelled in 3D before a single cut is made.
What's in-house
- 3D modelling and shop drawings in Autodesk Inventor and Fusion 360
- 6kW fibre laser cutting, sheets up to 4000mm × 2000mm
- CNC press brake folding up to 3050mm long and 10mm thick
- MIG, TIG, ARC and gas welding and brazing, on all materials
- Polishing, patina and specialty finishes
- Installation by the team that built it
Materials
Mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, copper and corten. Brass has a reputation for being hard to work with, and we've built processes that give consistent results with it.
Working with us
Send drawings or an idea. We aim to have quotes back within a week, longer where design work comes first. Once a quote is accepted, a 30% deposit puts the job into our production schedule. Everything is made in Queenstown. We freight throughout New Zealand and worldwide, and install further afield depending on the project.
